From past to present, children's museum and science centers have educational and researchoriented
aims. Children's museums of today provide a contemporary interpretation to
traditional museology with their functions perceiving by touch. At this point, children's
museums are one of the centers that aim at the technological needs of young individuals with
the science centers within the body.
Nowadays, thanks to the development of technology, children's museums and science
centers have started to exhibit interactive. As it is known, children's museums educational
institutions and include science and technology concepts. These are the leading institutions
that provide the transfer of conceptual values to the alpha generation. In recent years, the
orientations of young people towards technology have helped to develop touch-do-learn
systematics in children's museums and science centers.
The first example of contemporary children's museums and science centers in history is the
Boston Children's Museum, founded in 1913 in the US. In our country, there are no good
examples of children's museums and science centers that perform studies on mental and skill
development of individuals. In this thesis, it is aimed to determine the standard and
architectural criteria of children's museums, which overcome social and cultural deficiencies
in the development of society.
