Özet
Esra Türkekul’un Kapalıçarşı Cinayeti ve Cadıbostanı Cinayeti romanlarının yakın okuma yöntemiyle polisiye romanın suç, suçlu, dedektif, polis, olay mahalli, suç aleti, cinayetin işlenme biçimi gibi unsurları göz önünde bulundurularak incelendiği bu çalışma, iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölümde popüler kültür ve popüler edebiyat kavramları üzerinde durulması popüler kültür etrafında gelişen bir tür olan ve çalışmanın esasını oluşturan polisiye romanın daha iyi anlaşılması için kuramsal bir çerçeve çizmek adına önem taşımaktadır. Bununla birlikte polisiye romanın tarihsel süreçteki gelişimini anlamak için dünya edebiyatındaki ve Türk edebiyatındaki gelişimi hakkında bilgi verilmektedir. Tezin ikinci bölümünde Türkekul’un iki romanı yakın okuma yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Türkekul’un eserleri hakkında şimdiye kadar akademik nitelikte bir çalışmanın yapılmamış olması ve literatürde boşluk görülmesi çalışmanın önemini artırmaktadır. Türkekul’un yazınsallığının ele alındığı ve polisiye kurguya özgü niteliklerin incelendiği ikinci bölümde aynı zamanda Türk edebiyatında yer alan ana karakteri kadın dedektif olan diğer polisiye romanlarla karşılaştırmalar yapılmış ve yazarın polisiyeye özgü unsurlara getirdiği yenilikler ortaya konmuştur. Yazarın romanlarında işçi hakları, ırkçılık, eğitim sorunları, kentsel dönüşüm gibi konulara yer vererek polisiye kurguya derinlik ve yeni bir yaklaşım kazandırdığı tespit edilmiştir. It is important to focus on the concepts of popular culture and popular literature in the first part, in order to draw a theoretical framework for a better understanding of the detective novel, which is a genre that develops around popular culture and forms the basis of the study. However, in order to understand the development of detective novel in the historical process, information is given about its development in world literature and Turkish literature. In the second part of the thesis, Türkekul's two novels are analyzed by close reading method. The fact that no academic study has been carried out on Türkekul 's works so far and there are gaps in the literature increases the importance of the study . Turkekul's In the second part, in which the literature of the detective fiction is discussed and the characteristics of the detective fiction are examined, comparisons are made with other detective novels in Turkish literature, the main character of which is a female detective, and the innovations that the author has brought to crime-specific elements are revealed. It has been determined that the author's novels include topics such as workers' rights, racism, educational problems, and urban transformation, adding depth and a new approach to detective fiction.
