Algılanan stratejik liderlik davranışı ve iş tatmini ilişkisi: Örgütsel bağlılığın aracılık rolü

Abstract

İşletmelerde stratejik yönetim anlayışının yerleşmeye başlamasıyla birlikte gündeme gelen stratejik liderlik kavramı, işletme yöneticilerinin hızla değişen çevresel koşullara ve teknolojik yeniliklere kolay bir şekilde adapte olmasını ve bu sayede işletmenin sürdürülebilir bir rekabetçi üstünlük elde etmesini sağlayan liderlik davranışlarını kapsamaktadır. Bu nedenle stratejik liderlik davranışları tüm sektörlerdeki işletmeler için büyük önem arz etmektedir. Bu çerçevede, çalışmanın amacı; çalışanların stratejik liderlik davranışlarına yönelik algılarının yöneticilerin kendilerini değerlediği stratejik liderlik davranışlarına göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını tespit etmektir. Bunun yanı sıra çalışmada; çalışanların stratejik liderlik algılarının iş tatminlerine olan etkisi ve bu ilişkide örgütsel bağlılığın rolü de değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın ilk iki bölümünde stratejik liderlik ve iş tatminine yönelik kuramsal ve kavramsal çerçeveye yer verilmiştir. Çalışmanın üçüncü bölümünde ise; Ankara İl’inde havacılık sektöründe faaliyet gösteren işletmelerde çalışan 50 personel ve 50 yönetici olmak üzere toplam 100 katılımcı ile bir saha araştırması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular ışığında; çalışanın algıladığı stratejik liderlik davranışları ile yöneticinin kendisini değerlediği stratejik liderlik davranışları arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Buna ek olarak; çalışanın algıladığı stratejik liderlik davranışının iş tatminini pozitif yönde ve anlamlı bir şekilde etkilediği, örgütsel bağlılığın ise bu ilişkide kısmi aracılık rolü üstlendiği tespit edilmiştir. The concept of strategic leadership that comes to agenda together with the establishment of strategic management concept in companies includes leadership behaviors enabling business managers to easily adopt to rapidly changing environmental conditions and technological innovations and to enable companies to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. For this reason, strategic leadership behaviors are crucial for companies in all sectors. The aim of the study is to determine whether the perceptions of employees about strategic leadership behaviors differ according to the strategic leadership behaviors that managers evaluated themselves. In addition, the impact of employees’ perceptions about strategic leadership behaviors of their managers on job satisfaction and the role of organizational commitment in this relation were also assessed in the study. The first two parts of the study included theoretical and conceptual frameworks for strategic leadership and job satisfaction. In the third part of the study; a field survey was conducted with a total of 100 participants, 50 staff members and 50 managers working at aeronautical companies in Ankara. In the light of the findings obtained from the research, it was seen that there was a statistically significant difference between employees’ perceptions about strategic leadership behaviors of their managers and the strategic leadership behaviors that managers evaluated themselves. In addition, it has been found that the strategic leadership behaviors perceived by the employees has affected the job satisfaction positively and significantly and the organizational commitment has assumed the role of partial mediation in this relation.
