Air conditioning and cooling systems in the world are generally and mostly made with vapor compression or vapor absorption systems. These systems draw a high amount of energy. It is thought that designing an appropriate waste energy utilization system, which can lead to the optimum use of solar energy or any waste energy source and as a result, to provide huge savings, will reduce the amount of electrical energy used and have positive effects in terms of global warming. The aim of this study is to conduct thermodynamic and exergy analyzes of an absorption air conditioning system supported by solar energy. In the basic study, it has been tried to understand which one is more efficient by exergy analysis and thermodynamic analysis of fluid pairs. In addition, by adding an additional heat exchanger to the basic single-stage absorption system, it has been observed how much the system efficiency has increased. In the study, the performance criteria of the system were examined by considering the coefficient of performance (COP), absorber temperature, generator temperature and concentration differences, thermodynamic and exergy analyzes of absorption cooling systems were made and exergy destructions were obtained. Focusing on the use of solar energy as inert energy, absorption beds have replaced conventional vapor compression compressors at the same time. Absorption systems can be commissioned anywhere, taking into account the climatic conditions. In the study, the COP increase in the Ammonia-Lithium Nitrate couple showed the greatest increase from 0.477 to 0.85. The COP increase in the Lithium Bromide-Water study pair showed the second largest increase, from 0.556 to 0.749. This was followed by the Ammonia-sodium thiocyanide pair, which increased from 0.458 to 0.584, and the Ammonia-Water couple, which increased from 0.541 to 0.57.
