Mevlevi tarikat kültüründe kıyafetler ve sembolik anlamları
Özet
Bu araştırmada, Mevlevi tarikat kültüründeki kıyafet ve sembolik anlamları incelenmiştir.
Kıyafetlerin tarihi geçmişi, Osmanlı dönemi minyatürlerinden ve yabancı ressamların
tablolarından yola çıkarak bu çalışma yürütülmüş, Mevlevîlik tarikatı tarihi, Mevlânâ
Celâleddîn-i Rûmî’den 1925 yılında tekkelerin kapatılışına kadar olan süre araştırılmıştır.
Mevlevi tarihi ile birlikte kıyafet tarihi incelendikten sonra bu araştırmanın amacı olan ve
Mevlevi dervişleri tarafından kullanılan kıyafetlerin sembolik anlamları kaynaklardan ve
bilirkişilerin yardımı ile detaylı bir şekilde ele alınmıştır. Bu amaca ulaşmak için, Mevlevi tarikat
kültürünün ayrılmaz bir parçası olan Mevlevi dergâhlarındaki, sema ayinlerinde ve sema
ayinindeki müzisyenlerin kullanmış olduğu müzik aletlerindeki semboller de incelenmiştir.
Mevlevi kıyafetlerini kapsayan araştırmanın sonunda bu benzersiz kıyafetlerin birçok
sembolik anlam içerdiği çalışmada bulgularla ortaya konulmuştur. Bu bulgulara göre Mevlevi
kıyafetleri olan sikke, tennure, hırka, elifî nemed, deste-gül, destar giydikleri ve ayrıca sikkenin
üstüne istiva çektikleri görülmüştür. Sembolik bulgulara göre sikkenin bir Mevlevi tacı olup
nefsin mezar taşını, tennurenin kefeni, hırkanın nefsin mezarını, elifî nemedin Allah’ın birliğini,
deste-gülün taze gül demetlerinden oluşan ilkbaharı, istivanın ise erişilen makam ve mevkii
simgelediği anlaşılır. Ayrıca semahanenin kâinatı, sema ayininin ayakta Allah’a ulaşmak için
onun aşkıyla dönerek yapılan bir zikir olduğu ve yeniden doğuşu simgelediği ve müzik
aletlerinin de semaya eşlik ederek bu aşkı coşturduğunu simgesel olarak görmekteyiz.
Osmanlı’nın son dönemlerinde Osmanlı sultanlarını, yabancı gezginleri ve ressamları etkisi
altına alan Mevlevilik ve sema ayinleri günümüzde de uluslararası bilinirlik kazanmış olup,
farklı millet, kültür ve dinlerin ilgisini çekmektedir. In this research, the cultural meaning of the clothes and the various symbolic meanings behind the culture of the Mevlevi order were analysed. Based on the historical background of clothes, miniatures of the Ottoman period and the paintings of foreign painters, this study was carried out, and the history of the Mevlevi order, starting from the period of Mevlânâ Celâleddîn-i Rûmî to the closing of the dervish lodges in 1925, was investigated.
After examining the history of Mevlevi and the history of clothing, the clothes used by the Mevlevi dervishes and their symbolic meanings, which is the purpose of this research, are later discussed in detail with the help of sources and experts. In order to achieve this aim, the symbols on the musical instruments used by the musicians in the Mevlevi lodges, the sema rituals and the sema rituals, which are an integral part of the Mevlevi cult culture, were examined.
At the end of this research, which includes Mevlevi clothing, it has been revealed by the findings in this study that these unique clothes contain many symbolic meanings. According to these findings, it was seen that they wore "sikke", "tennure", cardigan, "elifî nemed", "deste-gül", "destar", which are Mevlevi attire, and also drew istiva on the sikke. According to the symbolic findings, the "sikke" is a Mevlevi crown and represents the tombstone of the worldly urges and desires (nefis), the tennurenin represents shroud, the cardigan is the garve of the worldly desires, the belt (elifî nemedin) represents the belief in the oneness of Allah (God), The "deste-gül" symbolizes spring with bouquets of fresh roses. It is understood that "istiva" symbolizes the rank and position reached. In addition, the "semahane" (where the act of sema is conducted) represents the universe, the sema ritual is a dhikr done standing up to reach Allah, turning with the love for Allah and its seen as a symbol that symbolizes rebirth and the musical instruments accompany this ritual by exhilarating this love.
The Ottoman sultans of the last periods of the Ottoman Empire, the Mevlevi and sema rituals, has captivated foreign travelers and painters and has gained international recognition and appreciation still in the current time that attracts different folks, cultures and religions.
