Today, since the Brundtland Report (1987), in which the effects of consumption patterns on the ecological order were emphasized, excessive consumption, unsustainable consumption habits, and the necessity of sustainable practices in consumption have been frequently discussed in both academic and political circles. Within the scope of this research, the concept of sustainability and sustainable practices in the fashion industry are detailed with examples. One of the sustainable practices in the fashion industry, which is perhaps one of the areas where sustainability is most needed, is second-hand consumption. Because of the consumption of second-hand clothing, it contributes to the ecosystem both by reducing the production by not purchasing new clothes and by reusing the unused clothes by not throwing them away. For nearly 100 years, charity associations have come to life with second-hand clothing stores in England, the most rooted in the second-hand consumption culture. By donating the clothes they don't use to the stores of these charity organizations, they ensure that the income of the clothes reaches the people in need. On the other hand, support can also be provided by purchasing clothes from these charities. A charity shop model proposal was presented by making a preliminary study to develop such a social responsibility business model through the UK charity shop system in Turkey. According to the information obtained from people living in Ankara through the questionnaire (Annex 1) within the scope of the research, it has been determined that people living in our country want to donate the clothes they do not use for the benefit of those in need, but they cannot donate enough because there is no institution they can trust. In the business model described in the study, it is believed that if a charity shop system is established, less used clothes will not pollute the eco system by not going to waste, and it will be beneficial for people in need with clothes and cash aid.
